Don-Bur is delighted to announce the appointment of Rory Turner as Key Accounts Manager. As the client base continues to grow, the new role will provide additional resource to improve the quality and depth of responses to customer needs.
Rory started a modern apprenticeship at the VMU Atherstone with TNT Express back in 1996. In 2001, with a distinction, apprentice of the year award, NVQ Level 3 and B-Tech National Certificate under his belt, he was offered the opportunity to join the TNT Logistics Division, reporting to the Technical Services General Manager. During his time in Technical Services, he acquired a significant amount of practical and academic experience which included a CPC and Level One Management Qualification.
In 2009, Rory was promoted to head up the Technical Services Department reporting to the CEVA Logistics Engineering Director, a role for which he has perhaps become best known. Before taking up his new role at Don-Bur, he was Fleet Manager at Gulliver’s Truck Hire, where he was responsible for over 4,000 pieces of equipment.
David Burton, managing director at Don-Bur comments “Rory’s career has grown from ‘nuts ‘n’ bolts’ roots and his practical experience, together with long-term blue chip operator knowledge, will be invaluable to his current role. His recent development at Ceva and Gulliver’s is a testament to his skills and determination and we welcome his technical abilities.”
