A simple, weighted mechanism to retain a shutter in the raised position once lifted.

Between services, the tension in a shutter spring can relax according to useage, size and type of shutter.

To ensure that the shutter doesn't lower during loading/unloading, this feature locks the shutter in place and prevents it from lowering.

To lower the shutter, a strap is provided which releases the mechanism and allows the shutter to lower again.
